Bio-C-rouge...All You wanna Know...Here!

:::: B I O G R A P H Y :::::

Born to a musical family of composers and performers, Serouj Baghdassarian a.k.a. C-Rouge developed a passion for music as a teenager. He became a DJ at the age of 15, but this was not enough and soon he decided to venture into music production. Firstly experimenting with some remixes C-Rouge soon released his own artist album.

Being influenced by his Armenian belonging and his own father Seto Baghdassarian, C-Rouge decided to dedicate his forthcoming album to the Armenian sound by carefully blending modern Trance sounds with the traditional melodies – genoTrancide was born. The album received great critical acclaim. Next up came C-Rouge's Duduk-inspired track Groong on the tribute compilation "Silent Propaganda", and later becoming his very first release when it was signed by Vibe Lebanon Records. "Groong" was promoted on all the major online digital stores. Similarly to its predecessor, Groong snatched the #1 spot on ctgmusic.com and garageband.com.

A follow up production called Redemption was also signed by the same label and gathered support from Lebanon's leading Trance DJs.
In 2007 "genoTrancide" was finally released in the USA by GEKA Records and on major online music stores iTunes, Napster, MusicIsHere, and iLike – Again the album received critical acclaim and from yerevannights.com, beirutnights.com, stver.com, trancehits.com and C-Rouge's MySpace and website, in addition to various Armenian and Lebanese radios and newspapers. Still in 2007, "genoTrancide" was awarded its own album launch at Virgin Megastores Lebanon during which dozens of C-Rouge's fans showed up for support. The album became No. 1 in Virgin's Best Sellers for weeks on end while C-Rouge was featured as Artist Of The Week. And in late 2007, genoTrancide was nominated in the USA-held Armenian Music Awards for Best Trance & House Album…

C-ROUGE NOW WENT GLOBAL!

In 2008, C-Rouge began the year with a series of gigs at clubs across Lebanon proving that he is both a class-A DJ as well as a producer. C-rouge often surprises many people by his ability to entertain a "non-trance crowd" something very few trance DJs / producers are able to do. By September 2008, many were hungry for something new from C-rouge. This came with a reworking of traditional Armenian song "Dle Yaman" which featured the voice of his mother, Shaké Baghdassarian also released with 4 remixes by Raneem, Amir Atme, Lon Rewell, Front on Proxoz Recordings. This soon became a "top ringtone". The track was also supported online by Ernesto vs Bastian, M.I.K.E. and Danjo amongst many others. Then in October 3rd 2008, "Eternity" was released by GEKA Records USA, Another BEST SELLING album at Virgin Megastores Lebanon. Supported by NRJ radio Lebanon. "Eternity" featured vocals this time and more diversity of sound targeting a wider audience… It was only a matter of time before some of the world's top producers, Leon Bolier, Joop, Lee Hasslam, John Aquaviva, Christopher Lawrence, John OO Fleming, and many others started to hear about C-rouge.
